Our technicians use high tech vapor steam equipment to emulsify or break down dirt, soap scum, mold, and other hard to clean substances present on the surface of your stone shower tiles. But here’s the difference – we know exactly how to use steam safely on natural stone.
Regular steam cleaning can be harmful to marble because it causes thermal expansion and contraction. Home steam cleaners reach about 250 degrees F, commercial ones over 300 degrees F, but our equipment is calibrated specifically for stone. We control temperature, pressure, and timing to clean without damage.
First we clean the stone surface using specialized cleaner to remove dirt and grime. If there are cracks or chips, we repair them with specialized filler. Then we use techniques like honing, grinding, polishing, or buffing to remove scratches, stains, and etches. Finally, we seal the surface with protective sealer.
During the process our technicians pinpoint areas that can indicate water damage. When we remove old caulking, water sometimes seeps out indicating possible water trapped behind the shower wall. We catch problems before they become expensive disasters.
